THE MODERNIST EFFECT ON THE HOME
This publication consists of illustrations of houses throughout seven decades,
from the 1960’s to the future year of 2040.
It communicates how modernism has taken away the individuality and uniqueness of houses as the ones from the 1950s-1990’s used to be a lot more bright and had their own style and shown that design matters when it comes to houses.
Modern houses today are quite bland as they use the same three colours of white, black and grey and have very similar boxy exteriors. Modernism has implimented basic shapes and minimalism to new homes that they don’t really have the ‘home’ look compared to the houses back then.
